The mill that Robinson was to build was to be "suitable for grinding corn." Just over a year after his deadline to complete the mill, Robinson, in his own right, would be granted a square league of land on the west side of the Colorado River in what later became Wharton County on April 6, 1831 (see William Robinson Title, Austin Land Papers, Box 9, File 14, Spanish Collections, Archives and Records Division, Texas General Land Office, Austin).
