Image No. 00195

Date: c. 1900

Photographer: unknown

Couple in buggy on the northwest side of the courthouse. The couple has been said to be James Light Townsend and his wife, but it is certainly not Sheriff James Light Townsend (1845-1894) and probably is not his son by the same name, who lived from 1886 until 1967 but was not married until 1910, by which time the tower of the courthouse had been blown off
